It's not irony

It's not irony
Coming out as non-binary means my life no longer feels like it's keeping a secret from me.

I found awakening in feminist theory precisely because I was never comfortable with being (or being considered) a girl. To embrace feminism was to stake a claim that people like me deserved to be afforded full humanity and dignity. And now that I am out as non-binary, I believe more staunchly than ever in the inclusive feminism that allowed me to start the journey of understanding myself.

The TERFs do not get to rebrand feminism. They cannot have it, even with all their hate and violence. Fuck the TERFs.
